Designing a luxury home can be exciting. But it’s not just about how the house looks it’s also about how it functions.
There are many features that can be added to a home that provide maximum functionality yet can’t be seen.
Ducted Vacuum Systems
A ducted vacuum system is an in-built vacuum system within the home. The system consists of a motor and a number of inlets around the home for plugging in vacuuming hoses. More convenient and powerful than conventional vacuums, ducted vacuums provide an easy and fast way to clean your home.
Acoustic Insulation or Plasterboard
Installing acoustic insulation or plasterboard in your home is an effective way to reduce the level of noise from external sources such as traffic, noisy neighbours and barking dogs as well as internal sources such as music, loud appliances or a home theatre.
Water Connection to the Fridge
If your fridge has an in-built ice maker and water dispenser it will need a water connection. The water connection will enable you to have a constant supply of ice and chilled water.
Drying Cupboard
A drying cupboard is a happy medium between line drying and tumble drying. Unlike a tumble dryer, clothes are hung to dry in the cupboard while warm are circulates around the clothes from your ducted, or a standalone, heating system. Bad weather? Doesn’t matter, the drying cupboard is a perfect place to dry your clothes all year around. A drying cupboard is also perfect for delicate fabrics and items of clothing and footwear that can’t be tumble dried.
Light Switch Pads
Regardless of the number of lights within a room, limiting the number of switches to three per light switch pad will ensure your switch pad looks clean and uncluttered.
Conduit
Conduit protects and carries electrical cables to all outlets and fixtures requiring electricity. Sometimes seen exposed, if you can nominate conduits before your construction begins your builder will be able to integrate these within the walls – this allows current and future cables to be installed with ease, be protected, and removes the eyesore of visible tubes.
